Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the application maloferriol.com (the "Application"), operated by Malo Ferriol ("we", "I"), accesses, uses, stores and shares Google user data.
1. Data accessed
When you sign in with Google and grant permission, the Application may access the following, limited to the scopes you approve:
- Basic profile: name, email address and profile picture.
- Gmail: email messages, metadata, labels and drafts; the ability to send email on your behalf.
- Google Calendar: calendars and events, including the ability to create, modify and delete events.
- Google Drive, Docs and Sheets: files and their content, including the ability to create and edit files.
- Contacts: names and contact details, used to address emails and invitations.
2. How data is used
Google user data is used solely to provide the features you explicitly request, such as reading or summarizing emails, drafting replies, managing calendar events and organizing documents. Data is not used for any other purpose.
3. Storage and retention
Data is processed on demand and is not stored permanently. Any temporary data (for example, cached results or OAuth tokens) is kept only as long as needed to perform the requested action and is stored securely with encryption in transit (TLS). OAuth tokens are deleted when you revoke access.
4. Sharing
Google user data is not sold and is not shared with third parties, except:
- with service providers strictly necessary to operate the requested feature (for example, hosting or an AI model provider that processes a request on our behalf), under confidentiality obligations and without the right to use the data for their own purposes;
- when required by law, or with your explicit consent.
5. Google API Services User Data Policy – Limited Use
The Application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- Data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the Application.
- Data is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to users.
- Data is not used for serving advertisements, including retargeting or personalized ads.
- Humans do not read the data unless you give affirmative consent for specific messages or files, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law.
- Google Workspace API data is not used to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI and/or ML models.
6. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect data, including encrypted connections, least-privilege access and secure credential storage.
7. Your rights and revoking access
You can revoke the Application's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data related to you by contacting us. If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the rights provided by the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
8. Children
The Application is not intended for children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
